Particularly for women working in professional kitchens, we are often made conscious of our place in a profession dominated by men, and what it takes to survive and thrive in it. We can, therefore, lose touch or even disown with the power that feminine energy holds for us.
This is the force that helps us create, collaborate, and also connect with others and ground ourselves: all valuable for our work life balance, but not always held in high regard in our kitchens. In fact, our feminine qualities are seen to get in the way of our work. But the truth is that we would struggle to have a healthy career or a healthy team without those qualities.
About the session: We look at feminine energy and how it transcends gender, its place in our industry historically and why it is more valuable than ever in our industry today. We will work on some exercises to explore how you can harness your own energy, in all its forms of expression, transforming how you work, what you create, and your relationships with others.
Who this session is for: Although we examine the theme through the lens of the chef culture, this session is open to all women and non-binary individuals working in Hospitality (FOH or BOH).
Sign up: This 60-minute session will be held on Zoom. Please note that spaces are limited and that you must register in advance. The Zoom link will be sent to you by email after you sign up.
